The Power of Music

Hello friends,

Sometimes, there is nothing more powerful than music to reach our hearts...when that music is steeped in the Word and delivered with anointing, it is an incredible tool for ushering us into His Presence, where we can freely pour out our hearts in pain and in joy, in doubt and in resolve... I pray these two songs, both by Natalie Grant, will pull back the veil and encourage you to fall at His feet with whatever is on your heart, and to pour it out to Him freely as a sacrifice...

HELD

Two months is too little
They let him go
They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we'd be rescued
What has changed and
Why should we be saved from nightmares
We're asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it's unfair

[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held

This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it and
Let the hatred numb our sorrows
The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow

[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held

[Bridge]
If hope is born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
Watching for our savior

[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
We'd be held

This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held

This is what it means to be held.....

I WILL NOT BE MOVED

I have been the wayward child
I have acted out
I have questioned Sovereignty
And had my share of doubt
And though sometimes my prayers feel like
They're bouncing off the sky
The hand I hold won't let me go
And is the reason why...

[Chorus:]
I will stumble
I will fall down
But I will not be moved
I will make mistakes
I will face heartache
But I will not be moved
On Christ the Solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
I will not be moved

Bitterness has plagued my heart
Many times before
My life has been like broken glass
And I have kept the score
Of all my shattered dreams and though it seemed
That I was far too gone
My brokenness helped me to see
It's grace I'm standing on

[Chorus]

And the chaos in my life
Has been a badge I've worn
Though I have been torn
I will not be moved

[Chorus]

He longs for you to come to Him...healing, wholeness, and freedom await you in His Presence.
He loves you so very much!

  2. I love scripture songs that launch me into prayer. I was listening to an oldie on the way to church yesterday~Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So! The joy got down to my toes and the next thing I knew I was going 70 in a 55 zone. LOL No ticket--praise God!

Thank you for your prayers. I covet them all.
    Hugs,
    Lallee
