Hello friends. I wanted to let you know what's happening in our little corner of the world. We were evacuated from our Lake Holly Hills neighborhood near Magnolia, TX Monday yesterday afternoon as a large wildfire threatened our area. We had about 10 minutes to evacuate and we grabbed as many things as we could think of and got out. Hubby, our dog Maddie and I headed to my Mom's house about 30 miles away and we are safe and sound. The fire is still burning over several thousand acres and our neighborhood and many others are still under mandatory evacuation orders, so there is no going in to check on things at this time...
SO, we wait and pray. And we know God is in control...
Ours is just one of over 63 wildfires raging in Texas right now. The massive wildfire near Austin (about 150 miles from here) has already burned 500 homes and it is not contained. The severe drought here coupled with high winds has made all of Texas one huge tinderbox. We would appreciate your prayers for our region...
I will keep you updated as often as I have news...Hugs to you all!
i will keep you and all in prayer!

ReplyDeleteI saw your link at Sue's blog, life is a journey.
We haven't been evacuated.... yet.
Hope all turns out well for your family and neighbors‘.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I am praying that all is well. Were you able to take anything with you?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are safe at your mom's. Will send up a prayer for you and all of those in your area.
ReplyDeleteOMG I will say a prayer for you.Be safe.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe. We have 3 different relatives who have lost their homes in the Smithville, Tx fire and 2 of my aunts are still not out of danger for their homes.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for you and your family! I'm so sorry to hear what you all are going through. I'm sending you much love, my friend!
ReplyDeletethat must be such a terrifying experience if not for the assurance that God is in control and that we can trust him. praying all will be well.
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, Becky! Even though God is in control, it is still tough when you lose all your material things (as I can say from experience - my house burned down 10 years ago). I pray that God will spare your house and neighborhood!
