Crunch Time

Yep, it's crunch time all right. It's less than two weeks until our show at Larry's Old Time Trade Days in Winnie, Texas. I've consumed every can of Rustoleum Heirloom White in 3 counties, I've burnt every finger on both hands with the glue gun, and I've breathed enough E-6000 fumes to kill what precious few brain cells I have left. Although I may have used just a touch of hyperbole on that last sentence, I have truly been working hard to complete projects for the show...

Alas, I've not taken any photos of the chaos progress...I'm afraid I'll accidentally spray paint my camera and glue it artfully onto a wreath! No, you'll just have to imagine all the glorious goodness we've been cranking out for now until I sound the "All Clear" and allow cameras into the war zone studio again...

On top of everything, my dedicated art computer (the one with ALL my art files and photos and all my art programs) went kaput earlier this week. My dear brother is going to look at it this weekend and see if he can revive it...fingers crossed and praying!

But since Just Bee 'n Me editorial standards forbid blog posts without pictures, here are a few old random, unrelated Just Bee 'n Me images from Picasa Web (since my old hard drive is awaiting surgery)... Enjoy!

That's probably an appropriate place to stop for now. I've got to head back out to the trenches...I think I just might have one more can of Heirloom White and a few brain cells left...just imagine what I might create!

Love Y'all!

  1. I laughed about the heirloom white, every time I go to Home Depot, I buy all of the cans they have! This has got to have become a best seller for Rustoleum! Good luck on your show and YIKKES your computer!

  2. I can't wait to see your finished projects. Good luck on the show. Your talent is so awesome. I never can figure out anything to do with the junk I find, then I see all your pretty stuff and wonder why I can't think of that.

  4. Oh no! Not your Art files! I sure hope he can retrieve them. The last time our computer crashed we got an external hard drive with the new computer so it would back everything up automatically. Not cheap, but in your case, possibly priceless? Praying tht your show goes great and you have wonderful weather for it:>) I can't wait to hear how you did!

  5. Hi Becky!! I was delighted to find your comment on my blog! Seems like forever since we last "talked". ha ha ha
I recently lost my computer, with LOTS of my files (I have most saved on an external hard drive) and I went out and bought a new computer. Wasn't thrilled to spend so much $$, but I thought I HAD to. THen a neighbor totally fixed and refurbished my old one. Now I feel like I just threw away tons and tons of money and can't return this shiny new thing. Oh well. Live and learn.
Another thing I'm learning: I thought I had all my files "safely" stored away on the external hard drive. I was told by several people that a hard drive will eventually fail. Then what am I going to do? So far most people are recommending online storage. Not exactly something I want to budget for, but I don't want to loose all my pix and documents. I guess I'll be looking into that.
Any hoo...Can't wait to see some of what you're working on. Be sure to take lots of pics at the show.
    Blessings,
    Patricia :o)

  7. Hi there~
So nice to meet you. That post is so funny! I totally relate to the fumes & glue! Who needs perfume? The residue in your hair is sure to intoxicate your hubby, lol!
